But what is this special tweed fabric all about? 
German Tweed's short value chain is a prime example of how to optimally utilize infrastructure to protect resources and the environment with short transport routes. The wool comes from sheep in Germany and is processed into raw and dyed yarn in the traditional Zwickau worsted spinning mill before we weave the product here.
The final finishing then takes place a few kilometers from our headquarters at Knopf's Sohn , which makes German Tweed a very high-quality wool fabric and a German textile theme that meets the highest standards.

Our German Tweedender is available in four different fashionable colors . The carefully selected leather, which also characterizes environmentally friendly processing in Germany, and the equally elaborately crafted interior made of color-coordinated filling material are illustrated and highlighted for each color combination in the shop product.
Ilona from @timilobaesweiler made this dream come true for us and sews each individual bag with complete dedication and a great deal of perfectionism using her saddlery machine and even does some stitches by hand .
At every stage, a good eye for detail, experience, and the utmost care are crucial, as even the smallest inaccuracy would be immediately apparent in the finished product. 
Good luggage is just as important to a successful appearance as chic clothing and the right accessories - but aren't these things only owned by fashion victims?
