Unless a more specific storage period has been specified in this privacy policy, your personal data will remain with us until the purpose for data processing no longer applies. If you assert a legitimate request for deletion or revoke your consent to data processing, your data will be deleted unless we have other legally permissible reasons for storing your personal data (e.g., retention periods under tax or commercial law); in the latter case, deletion will occur once these reasons no longer apply.

Note on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

We use tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that do not have secure data protection laws. If these tools are active, your personal data may be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We would like to point out that a level of data protection comparable to that in the EU cannot be guaranteed in these countries. For example, US companies are obligated to disclose personal data to security authorities without you, as the data subject, being able to take legal action. It cannot therefore be ruled out that US authorities (e.g., intelligence agencies) may process, evaluate, and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke your consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out up to the time of revocation remains unaffected.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct marketing (Article 21 GDPR)

If data processing is based on Article 6 (1) (e) or (f) of the GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data at any time for reasons related to your particular situation; this also applies to profiling based on these provisions. The respective legal basis on which processing is based can be found in this privacy policy. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN PROVE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING SERVES TO ASSERT, EXERCISE OR DEFEND LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION PURSUANT TO ART. 21 (1) GDPR).
If your personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes, you have the right to object at any time to the processing of personal data concerning you for such marketing purposes; this also applies to profiling insofar as it is associated with such direct marketing. If you object, your personal data will subsequently no longer be used for direct marketing purposes (objection pursuant to Art. 21 (2) GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged violation. This right of complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically based on your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done if technically feasible.

Information, correction and deletion

Within the scope of applicable law, you have the right at any time to obtain free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipient, and the purpose of data processing, as well as the right to have this data corrected or deleted. You can contact us at any time with any questions about this or other issues relating to personal data.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time to do so. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the accuracy of your personal data stored by us, we generally need time to verify this. You have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted while we verify your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data was/is unlawful, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you require it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted instead of deleted.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 (1) GDPR, your interests must be weighed against ours. As long as it is not yet clear whose interests prevail, you have the right to request that the processing of your personal data be restricted.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, this data may – with the exception of its storage – only be processed with your consent or for the establishment, exercise or defense of legal claims or to protect the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or inquiries that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the browser's address line changing from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock symbol in your browser's address bar. When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Objection to advertising emails

The use of contact data published in accordance with the imprint obligation to send unsolicited advertising and information materials is hereby prohibited. The operators of the website expressly reserve the right to take legal action in the event of unsolicited advertising information being sent, for example, through spam emails.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our website uses so-called "cookies." Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage to your device. They are stored on your device either temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies). Session cookies are automatically deleted after your visit. Persistent cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them yourself or until they are automatically deleted by your web browser.

Cookies can originate from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies enable the integration of certain third-party services within websites (e.g., cookies for processing payment services).

Cookies serve various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary, as certain website functions would not work without them (e.g., the shopping cart function or displaying videos). Other cookies can be used to evaluate user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are necessary for the electronic communication process, for the provision of certain functions that you have requested (e.g. for the
shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in storing necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent to the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing will take place exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG); this consent can be revoked at any time. You can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and only allow cookies in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when the browser is closed. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be limited. You can find out which cookies and services are used on this website in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The website provider automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. This includes:

  • Browser type and version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data will not be merged with other data sources. This data is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimization of its website – for this purpose, the server log files must be collected.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your information from the form, including the contact details you provided there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing your inquiry and in case of follow-up questions. We will not share this data without your consent.

This data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, provided your inquiry is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), if requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular, retention periods—remain unaffected.

Inquiry by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, phone, or fax, your inquiry, including all personal data (name, inquiry), will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request.

The data you send us via contact requests will remain with us until you request its deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed). Mandatory legal provisions—in particular, statutory retention periods—remain unaffected.

Registration on this website

You can register on this website to use additional features. We will use the data you enter only for the purpose of using the respective offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be provided in full. Otherwise, we will reject your registration.

For important changes, such as those relating to the scope of our services or technically necessary changes, we will use the email address you provided during registration to inform you.

The data entered during registration is processed for the purpose of implementing the user relationship established by the registration and, if necessary, for initiating further contracts (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

The data collected during registration will be stored by us for as long as you are registered on this website and will be deleted thereafter. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analysis service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables website operators to analyze the behavior of website visitors. This provides the website operator with various usage data, such as page views, length of visit, operating systems used, and user origin. This data is assigned to the user's respective device. It is not assigned to a user ID.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable user recognition for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g., cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about your use of this website is usually transferred to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG. This consent can be revoked at any time. Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here:
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide the website operator with other services relating to website activity and internet usage. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be associated with any other data held by Google.
merged.

Browser plugin

You can prevent Google from collecting and processing your data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available under the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

For more information on how Google Analytics handles user data, please see Google’s privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Order processing

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Ads

The website operator uses Google Ads. Google Ads is an online advertising program provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Ads enables us to display advertisements in the Google search engine or on third-party websites when users enter specific search terms into Google (keyword targeting). Furthermore, targeted advertisements can be displayed based on user data available to Google (e.g., location data and interests) (audience targeting). We, as website operators, can evaluate this data quantitatively, for example, by analyzing which search terms led to the display of our advertisements and how many ads resulted in corresponding clicks.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG. This consent can be revoked at any time.

Data transfer to the USA is based on the EU Commission's standard contractual clauses. Details can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy/frameworks and
https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

Google AdSense

This website uses Google AdSense, a service for integrating advertisements. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Adsense, we can display targeted advertisements from third-party companies on our site. The content of the advertisements is based on your interests, which Google determines based on your previous user behavior. Furthermore, contextual information such as your location, the content of the website visited or the Google search terms you entered is also taken into account when selecting the right advertisement. Google AdSense uses cookies, web beacons (invisible graphics) and similar recognition technologies. This can be used to evaluate information such as visitor traffic on these pages. The information collected by Google Adsense about the use of this website (including your IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Google may also pass this information on to Google's contractual partners. However, Google will not merge your IP address with other data stored about you.

Google Ads Remarketing

This website uses Google Ads Remarketing, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With Google Ads Remarketing, we can assign people who interact with our online offering to specific target groups in order to then display interest-based advertising in the Google advertising network (remarketing or retargeting). Furthermore, the advertising target groups created with Google Ads Remarketing can be linked to Google's cross-device functions. This way, interest-based, personalized advertising messages that have been tailored to you based on your previous usage and surfing behavior on one device (e.g., mobile phone) can also be displayed on another of your devices (e.g., tablet or PC). If you have a Google Account, you can opt out of personalized advertising at the following link: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/.

The use of this service is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG. This consent can be revoked at any time. Further information and the data protection regulations can be found in Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads?hl=de.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we require an email address from you as well as information that allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified email address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. No further data is collected or is collected only on a voluntary basis. We use this data exclusively to send the requested information and do not share it with third parties.

The data entered into the newsletter registration form will be processed exclusively on the basis of your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data, your email address, and their use for sending the newsletter at any time, for example, via the "unsubscribe" link in the newsletter. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

The data you provide us with for the purpose of subscribing to the newsletter will be stored by us or the newsletter service provider until you unsubscribe from the newsletter. The data will be deleted from the newsletter distribution list after you unsubscribe from the newsletter or if the purpose no longer applies. We reserve the right to delete or block email addresses from our newsletter distribution list at our own discretion within the scope of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR.

Data stored by us for other purposes remains unaffected. After you unsubscribe from the newsletter distribution list, your email address may be stored on a blacklist by us or the newsletter service provider if this is necessary to prevent future mailings. The data from the blacklist will only be used for this purpose and will not be merged with other data. This serves both your interest and our interest in complying with the legal requirements when sending newsletters (legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). Storage on the blacklist is not time-limited. You can object to storage if your interests outweigh our legitimate interest.

7. Plugins and tools

YouTube with enhanced privacy

This website embeds videos from the YouTube website. The site is operated by Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in enhanced privacy mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. However, enhanced privacy mode does not necessarily prevent data from being passed on to YouTube partners. YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network, regardless of whether you watch a video. As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection is established to the YouTube servers. This tells the YouTube server which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you allow YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account. Furthermore, after you start a video, YouTube can store various cookies on your device or use similar recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way, YouTube can receive information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to collect video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent fraud. After starting a YouTube video, further data processing operations may be triggered over which we have no control. YouTube is used in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offerings. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. If corresponding consent has been requested, processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information on the user's device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time. Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

8. eCommerce and payment providers

Data transfer upon conclusion of contract for online shops, retailers and shipping of goods

When you order goods from us, we will pass your personal data on to the transport company entrusted with the delivery and to the payment service provider commissioned with processing the payment. Only the data required by the respective service provider to fulfill their task will be disclosed. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, which permits the processing of data to fulfill a contract or to take pre-contractual measures. If you have given your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR, we will pass on your email address to the transport company entrusted with the delivery so that they can inform you by email about the shipping status of your order. You can revoke your consent at any time.

Credit checks

When purchasing on account or using another payment method where we make advance payments, we may conduct a credit check (scoring). For this purpose, we transmit the data you enter (e.g., name, address, age, or bank details) to a credit agency. Based on this data, the probability of a payment default is determined. If the risk of payment default is excessive, we may refuse the payment method in question.
The credit check is carried out for the purpose of contract fulfillment (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) and to avoid payment defaults (legitimate interest according to Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If consent has been obtained, the credit check is carried out on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR); this consent can be revoked at any time.

Payment services

We integrate payment services from third-party companies on our website. When you make a purchase from us, your payment data (e.g., name, payment amount, bank details, credit card number) will be processed by the payment service provider for the purpose of payment processing. The respective contractual and data protection provisions of the respective providers apply to these transactions. The use of payment service providers is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR (contract processing) and in the interest of ensuring the smoothest, most convenient, and most secure payment process possible (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). If your consent is requested for certain actions, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR forms the legal basis for data processing; consent can be revoked at any time for the future.

Handling applicant data

We offer you the opportunity to apply to us (e.g., by email, post, or online application form). Below, we inform you about the scope, purpose, and use of your personal data collected during the application process. We assure you that the collection, processing, and use of your data will be carried out in compliance with applicable data protection laws and all other legal provisions, and that your data will be treated with strict confidentiality.

Scope and purpose of data collection

If you send us an application, we will process your associated personal data (e.g. contact and communication data, application documents, notes taken during job interviews, etc.) to the extent necessary to decide on the establishment of an employment relationship.

The legal basis for this is Section 26 of the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) (initiation of an employment relationship), Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR (general contract initiation), and – if you have given your consent – Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Your consent can be revoked at any time. Your personal data will only be shared within our company with people involved in processing your application.
If your application is successful, the data you submit will be stored in our data processing systems on the basis of Section 26 BDSG and Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship.

Data retention period

If we are unable to make you a job offer, if you reject a job offer, or if you withdraw your application, we reserve the right to retain the data you have submitted for up to six months from the end of the application process (rejection or withdrawal of the application) based on our legitimate interests (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). The data will then be deleted and the physical application documents destroyed. Retention is primarily for evidential purposes in the event of a legal dispute. If it is apparent that the data will be required after the six-month period (e.g., due to impending or pending legal proceedings), deletion will only occur when the purpose for further retention no longer applies.

Longer storage may also take place if you have given your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or if statutory retention periods prevent deletion.

Inclusion in the applicant pool

If we do not make you a job offer, you may have the opportunity to be included in our applicant pool. If you are accepted, all documents and information from your application will be transferred to the applicant pool so that we can contact you if suitable vacancies arise. Inclusion in the applicant pool occurs exclusively on the basis of your express consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR). Providing your consent is voluntary and has no connection to the ongoing application process. The data subject can revoke their consent at any time. In this case, the data will be irrevocably deleted from the applicant pool unless there are legal reasons for retention. The data from the applicant pool will be irrevocably deleted no later than two years after consent is given.

Data processing by social networks

We maintain publicly accessible profiles on social networks. You can find the specific social networks we use below.
Social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. can generally comprehensively analyze your user behavior when you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g., like buttons or advertising banners). Visiting our social media presence triggers numerous data protection-relevant processing operations.

In detail:
If you are logged into your social media account and visit our social media presence, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. However, your personal data may also be collected if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is collected, for example, via cookies that are stored on your device or by recording your IP address. With the help of the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles that contain your preferences and interests. In this way, interest-based advertising can be shown to you both inside and outside of the respective social media presence. If you have an account with the respective social network, the interest-based advertising can be displayed on all devices on which you are or were logged in.

Please also note that we cannot track all processing operations on social media portals. Depending on the provider, further processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals.

For details, please refer to the terms of use and privacy policy of the respective social media portals.

Legal basis

Our social media presence is intended to ensure the most comprehensive online presence possible. This constitutes a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The analysis processes initiated by the social networks may be based on different legal bases, which must be specified by the operators of the social networks (e.g., consent within the meaning of Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR).

Responsible person and assertion of rights

If you visit one of our social media sites (e.g., Facebook), we and the operator of the social media platform are jointly responsible for the data processing operations initiated during this visit. You can generally assert your rights (rights to information, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to lodge a complaint) both against us and against the operator of the respective social media platform (e.g., Facebook).

Please note that despite our shared responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full control over the data processing practices of the social media portals. Our options depend largely on the company policies of the respective provider.

Storage period

The data we collect directly via your social media presence will be deleted from our systems as soon as you request deletion, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for storing the data no longer applies. Stored cookies remain on your device until you delete them. Mandatory legal provisions—in particular, retention periods—remain unaffected. We have no influence on the storage period of your data, which is stored by the operators of the social networks for their own purposes. For details, please contact the operators of the social networks directly (e.g., in their privacy policy, see below).

Your rights

You have the right to obtain information about the origin, recipient, and purpose of your stored personal data free of charge at any time. You also have the right to object, to data portability, and to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority. Furthermore, you can request the correction, blocking, deletion, and, under certain circumstances, the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
